What NOT to Put on the Moving Truck!

Moving to a new home can be a thrilling adventure, but mostly it’s exhausting and arduous – especially packing and hauling everything you own from one place to another. In fact,  some might experience the process as stress-inducing heartburn! But to make the move safe for your belongings and everybody involved, there’s a definite list of DON’Ts — things to leave OFF the moving truck.

Protect Yourself, Protect Your Loved Ones

A hair stylist in Castle Rock recently experienced identity theft, though she is careful never to disclose personal or confidential information. A police report was filed and after hours on the phone and in person with the bank trying to prove it was a scam, the pair discovered someone had pretended to be the stylist with legit-looking IDs.

A Sweet (and Savory) Parker Sensation

A Parker Colorado strip mall is not where you’d expect to find two highly-acclaimed semi-finalists for The 2025 James Beard Awards

But here they are, the husband-and-wife team of Alen Ramos and Carolyn Nugent, who opened the Poulette Bakeshop in 2021 and are staring down their second nomination in the category of Best Pastry Chef and Baker.  And if you drive by their Hess Road establishment in Parker – minutes from the new homes for sale in Looking Glass – you may see patrons lined up outside to sample their sweet and savory pastries.

Unclutter Your Life

Temperatures are rising in Parker and surrounds — which may give you the (mistaken) impression that winter is waning. Don’t be fooled. There’s more snow and cold brewing in a future front so don’t put your snowblower in storage just yet.
