Summer is officially here, and Parker is pulling out all the stops. From the biggest festival in town’s history to free outdoor concerts, live theater, family fun, and neighborhood markets, there’s no shortage of things to do in Parker and the surrounding Douglas County area this month. June 11–24 brings an incredible stretch of events for Looking Glass residents — whether you’re looking for a night out, a family adventure, or a reason to get outside and explore. PARKER DAYS FESTIVAL – 50TH ANNIVERSARY: CARNIVAL RIDES (DAY 1)

Parker’s most beloved community tradition turns 50 this year, and the celebration kicks off early with a full day of carnival rides. The Carnival Midway, an old-fashioned Ferris wheel by the East Music Stage, and a brand-new family ride zone on East Victorian are all open — free admission to the grounds, with carnival wristbands available online or at the gate.

DISCOVERY PARK SUMMER CONCERT: THE VIOLET PINES

Parker Arts’ free Discovery Park Summer Concert Series returns with The Violet Pines, a Grand Junction quintet that blends funk, rock, and soul into a high-energy performance packed with thoughtful songwriting and dynamic stage presence. Grab a lawn chair, spread out a blanket, and enjoy a free summer evening at the outdoor amphitheater.

GERALD ALBRIGHT: AN EVENING WITH PATTI AUSTIN

Grammy-winning R&B and jazz vocalist Patti Austin joins Colorado saxophonist Gerald Albright at Lone Tree Arts Center for an unforgettable indoor evening. Austin’s career spans decades of jazz, soul, and pop crossover magic, and this intimate Main Stage performance promises world-class musicianship just a short drive from Parker.

PARKER DAYS FESTIVAL – FULL FESTIVAL OPENS (DAY 2)

The 50th Anniversary Parker Days Festival opens in full on Friday with live music on three stages, 200+ marketplace booths, food from 25+ vendors, beer gardens, carnival rides, artisan demos, free kids’ crafts, and street performers. Friday headliners include The Long Run (Eagles tribute) on the Main Stage and Jacob Larson (disco & soul) on the East Stage.

CASTLE ROCK ARTISAN EXPO

Local makers and artisans take over Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock for three days of handmade goods, creative crafts, and one-of-a-kind finds. Free admission for shoppers — browse unique products from Colorado creators in a beautiful outdoor setting and pick up something special.

HIGHLANDS RANCH KIDFEST

The Highlands Ranch Metro District’s free annual community festival packs in inflatables, stage entertainment, face painting, free kids’ activities, food trucks, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and mounted patrol demonstrations, and South Metro Fire Rescue engine showcases. It’s an all-ages summer tradition that gets the whole family moving.

Full festival day at the 50th Anniversary Parker Days, with music on all three stages from open to close. PASSPORT TO CULTURE: TOP HOGS

Lone Tree Arts Center’s family series presents Top Hogs — a crowd-pleasing show featuring trained pigs performing impressive athletic feats and tricks set to music, guided by renowned animal trainer John Vincent. Recommended for families with kids 12 and under; a sensory-inclusive performance is also offered at 4 p.m.

Sunday night headliner: The Fabulous Thunderbirds — blues-rock legends closing out Parker’s biggest weekend in style.

Every Sunday through November, HRCA partners with Denver Farmers’ Market for a top-tier weekly gathering of local Colorado vendors. Shop fresh seasonal produce, artisan goods, baked items, honey, and more — a great way to spend a Sunday morning close to home.

ARTS IN THE AFTERNOON: ROB MULLINS TRIO

Lone Tree Arts Center’s intimate midday jazz series presents Grammy-nominated Denver-native pianist Rob Mullins, whose 43 albums have played on radio stations worldwide. The hour-long performance is followed by complimentary refreshments and conversation with the artist — a relaxed, intimate afternoon out.

DISCOVERY PARK SUMMER CONCERT: LUCKY CATCH

Castle Rock’s beloved free outdoor concert series returns at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park on the third Thursday of each month. The Rick Lewis Project opens the 2026 season with a high-energy set spanning rock, soul, funk, and blues. Bring a picnic or grab food on site — and feel good knowing your donations support the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation.

DENVER JUNETEENTH MUSIC FESTIVAL

Denver’s Historic Five Points neighborhood transforms into a hub of celebration for one of the region’s most beloved Juneteenth traditions. The 2026 festival features two-time Grammy-nominated R&B sensation SiR headlining the main stage, alongside a full day of cultural performances, food vendors, an international marketplace, and the historic Juneteenth Parade through the heart of Five Points — one of the longest-running parades in Denver’s history.

BIKE TO WORK DAY BREAKFAST STATION – PARKER

Ditch the car and ride through Parker’s history on Bike to Work Day! The Town of Parker’s free breakfast station on the Cherry Creek Trail features a mock chuck wagon with pancakes, sausage, and coffee from Flippin’ Flapjacks, plus grab-and-go snacks and on-site bike maintenance support. The first 250 riders receive a custom Town of Parker T-shirt.
