Cirque Kalabante: Afrique en Cirque is a colorful show, from scenery and costumes to staging, and music – and will make the Center vibrate with energy. In this spectacular circus performance, you will see the strength and agility of acrobats as they execute gravity-defying moves and human pyramids, accompanied by the contemporary sounds of live Afro-Jazz, percussion, and traditional African instruments such as the kora. This amazing performance has been called a kind of daredevil circus, full of astounding leaps, with high-flying, jaw-dropping rolls and athleticism, accompanied by pulsating drum music.

Very rarely can you say that a performer is not going to get you up off your seat and have it be a compliment. That’s exactly the type of experience, though, that British folk-rock legend David Gray is set to bring to The Buell Theatre. You may not be dancing in the aisles, but you’re going to be glued to your seat and immersed in emotion. That’s the magic that David Gray knows how to produce.
On this international road trip, Gray will be promoting his new album, Dear Life. MUSIC OF THE WORLD
Music of the World programs are interactive orchestra concerts for kids aged 0-12 (and their adults) to get “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the ground and encircled by a 16-piece professional orchestra with special guests and guided through the English/Spanish bilingual program by Conductor Steven Aguilo-Arbues. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect children (ages 0-12) with music – physically, emotionally, and developmentally. These programs include a 45-minute immersive, interactive orchestral performance and meet and greet time with the musicians and performers.
ARTS IN THE AFTERNOON: THE BARBER OF SEVILLE
For the littles and the giggles! Join Opera Colorado for an abridged version of this laugh-out-loud comedy, featuring some of the most memorable tunes in all opera—including Figaro’s famous “Largo al factotum,” Rosina’s “Una voce poco fa,” and more.
Packed with punchlines, this rapid-fire prequel to The Marriage of Figaro features the mischievous barber Figaro at his most cunning.

Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades. A platinum-recording artist, Rodney has recorded eight major record label comedy albums, followed by three albums on his own record label, Laughter’s Good Records. Rodney’s latest album, “Get Em Out,” (released 2019) hit the top spot on iTunes.
Over the years, he’s starred in his own TV sitcom, “Rodney”, which ran for two seasons on ABC, co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film, “Beer for My Horses,” which won the Tex Ritter Award from the ACM. Rodney’s also appeared on countless other TV shows.
