BIRD BANDING IN ACTION – FALL 2026: WATCH REAL FIELD RESEARCH

Step behind the scenes of bird research as Denver Audubon partners with Bird Conservancy of the Rockies to carefully catch wild birds in mist nets, record scientific data, and fit them with a small, uniquely numbered leg band. Note: wild birds are not always caught during every session, but you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of bird research and a memorable walk in nature. The banding station is a half-mile round trip from the Nature Center on nearly flat, easy-to-moderate dirt trails.
