LAST WEEKEND: ROCK THE MOUNTAIN SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Live music, mountain views, and one final weekend of summer send-off — Rock the Mountain wraps up its season at the Outlets at Castle Rock with a closing lineup of local talent bringing rock, blues, country, and acoustic favorites to the outdoor stage. Pair a little end-of-summer shopping with live music before the series takes its fall break.
ANIMALS AROUND THE ROCK: BATTY ABOUT CASTLE ROCK
Castle Rock celebrates its resident bat population with an evening dedicated to one of the area’s most misunderstood neighbors. Learn about local bat species, their role in the ecosystem, and why these nighttime flyers deserve a lot more love than they usually get — a fun, slightly spooky way to kick off September.

9/11 STAIR CLIMB
Red Rocks Amphitheatre hosts this powerful annual tribute, inviting participants to climb the iconic steps in honor of the firefighters, police officers, and first responders who gave their lives on September 11, 2001. A moving, community-driven way to remember and reflect — open to climbers of all fitness levels.
TOUR DE CURE 2026
The American Diabetes Association’s signature cycling event brings riders of all levels together for a day of community, fundraising, and pedaling toward a cure. Choose your distance, rally your team, and support life-changing research and advocacy for people living with diabetes.
GRANDPARENT’S DAY PICNIC IN THE PARK

OUTDOOR MODEL TRAIN DAY
The Castle Rock Museum — housed in the historic Denver & Rio Grande Railway Depot — celebrates the railroad heritage that put Castle Rock on the map. See garden model trains and replicas of Castle Rock buildings set up in the backyard, take a free train ride, and enjoy live music from the Castle Rock Band. A charming, hands-on way to connect with local history.
CASTLE ROCK ARTFEST
More than 110 artists from across the country fill downtown Castle Rock for this beloved two-day celebration of creativity, spanning Perry Street and Festival Park. Browse life-size sculptures, fine photography, jewelry, and paintings while continual live music plays from the main stage. This year’s Artfest carries extra weight, marking the double milestone of America’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries — a can’t-miss weekend for art lovers and families alike.

This hands-on, all-ages community fair connects Parker residents with the people and departments that keep the Town running — from Parks and Recreation to Parker Arts, Police, and Public Works. TWILIGHT ON THE TRAILS
The Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year returns to the brand-new Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space for an elevated evening under the stars. A guided nature hike and homestead tour lead into a sunset celebration of wine tasting, charcuterie, live music, and a silent auction — all supporting future trails and outdoor amenities across Castle Rock. Dress code: “cocktail on top, trail on bottom.” 21+.

TRI THE ROCK
Now celebrating its 20th year, the Town of Castle Rock’s beloved youth triathlon invites young athletes ages 5 to 18 to swim, bike, and run their way to the finish line. From first-time racers to seasoned competitors, generations of Castle Rock kids have made this a local tradition — come cheer on the athletes and enjoy a morning of food, prizes, and community spirit at Butterfield Crossing Park and Pool.
