Family of Four Lands in Looking Glass

“We found Looking Glass honestly, because we lived just down the road,” said Jenna Hanners. She and her husband Zach Hanners and their two daughters became residents of Looking Glass in December of 2024.  “We heard it was going to be a new community with a lot of parks for the girls and a lot of amenities.”

The Hanners have two daughters, Mila and Gianna Rose and find the new construction community a perfect fit. “The parks interested us, and then also the new builds. We knew on our next adventure, when I was pregnant with Gianna, we wanted a new house, and we came and fell in love with the area,” Jenna said.

Zach echoed Jenna’s enthusiasm for new construction, “We kind of just drove by one day and fell in love with the lot. We liked the specific spot, and we’re like, we better jump on it!” he said. “The Taylor Morrison model was really open — had everything we wanted for the kids. There was a loft. We had the option of doing a finished basement. And the 18-foot ceilings really were awesome as well.”

Taylor Morrison Won the Day

Jenna and Zach appreciated the builder’s attentiveness to their family – so much so, they chose them twice! “We really liked the whole process with Taylor Morrison – the customer service from day one was what really sold the deal. And then we also got to see all of the design center choices before, picking that house specifically. We fully customized our house, which was another big perk,” said Jenna.

And what does she especially like about their new house? “One of my favorite features is the open glass sliders,” she added. “We have two sets of sliders in our house, and it really provides a lot of natural light. And the view is great, too!”

Zach, who is an avid cyclist, loves the location not just of their house but the Looking Glass community. “One of my favorite parts of the location is the access to the Cherry Creek Trail right down here,” he said motioning north of the community. “

Looking to the Future

He’s looking forward to the additional trails that are in the planning stages and will be completed in the near future. “I like to ride my bike, so I can easily jump down on a Cherry Creek Trail, and it’s very close to the girls’ school as well, so it’s easy to hop over and take them to school”

And what is 4-year-old daughter Mila’s favorite thing? The park by her new house, she says. And why does she like it? “It has slides and swings.”

Jenna added, “We like all the parks and there are also stairs – recreational stairs in this neighborhood and that’s pretty fun, too. And we’ve been downtown Parker – we go all the time. And to the field house quite a bit.”

Zach works in finance and Jenna in Human Resources. “I know the Looking Glass community is going to be growing, but we are close to work, close to I-25, and then you can take Crowfoot, the back way to Castle Rock, so we’re very close to everything we need.”
